No torque/power
On my 36v cc I installed lift and 23 in tires and now it has no power. It was a little week before but now its bad. Is it one of things where I'm going to have to add contoller, cables, silonoid, and fnr switch? What if I do this and it still isnt have any power? It there a way to check my batteries to see if they are all bad? It has 6 6v. Or do I need to convert to 48v with my 36v motor. Im lost. Help. What would u do?

Re: No torque/power
The larger tires are your torque problem!

Re: No torque/power
I understand that. But whats the best fix? My batteries are 6v and are all reading anywhere from 6.29 to 6.78. That sound correct?

Re: No torque/power
Club Car made two different types of 36 V drive systems. They made resistor coil and solid-state systems. You need to determine which system you have so we can advise on what you need. Early resistor coil carts had five solenoids behind the batteries. Later resistor carts had large coils behind the batteries. Electronic speed control is simply a metal box with several cables going to it.
We will also need to know what size tires you're running, how many people are writing on a cart, and what type of terrain you're running in. |

Re: No torque/power
I would put old wheels back in and sell it. Then go get a newer model 48 volt cart.
Money wise it might cost a little more than converting but in the end you might be better off. Of course it is just an opinion. |

Re: No torque/power
This 36v cart on 48v will run 18-20mph with about 30% more torque than a stock 48v cart.

Re: No torque/power
If you can exchange the 6 volt batteries for 8 volt with a 36 volt motor. Can you exchange the 8 volt batteries for 12 volt batteries with a 48 volt motor?

Re: No torque/power
If your batteries ar good UNDER LOAD then you are losing power somewhere else in the high voltage circuit. Check for bad connections, wires, contacts and feel for hot components after a minute of driving. If you have resistors they will normally be hot and you shouldn't touch them. If you have a controller most of those Curtis 1204's I think, are rated for 36-48 volts anyway so you can simply add 8v batteries and a 48v automatic charger and your done
