Default Top and Windshield shaking

My cart is driving smooth but when off the pavement the whole top shakes and makes alot of noise. All of the bolts are tight. Is there a way to add more support as the stock support seems pretty crappy. Also, what have you done to stop the middle of the windshield from shaking back and forth (front to back). Is there something that holds the bottom of the windshield in place on the body? Thanks for the help!

. . . check stores . . there are small (1/4-1/2" dia) stick on picture frame bumpers you can add to stiffen it up some, such as below . . .

Picture Frame Bumpers

I like the picture frame bumpers idea. Another suggestion is wide rubber strips cut from a inner tube or a rubber mat glued in place. It makes a huge difference when I drive across railroad tracks.

Thanks for the help guys. What about anything to mount to the body of the cart under the windshield in the center to keep it from moving front to back?

I had the same issues with my Precedent top. One thing that helped was to add a small washer to all our of the front mounting bolts. Evidently they bottom out before getting tight and adding that washer did the trick. Also check where the back mounts to the seat brace. I had some problems there that I had to fix as well.

I see that Club Car did away with the bottom frame rail on the Precedents!

My 07 DS:

You could "add a rail" (with windshield clips) to keep the bottom of the windshield from moving so drastically!

Sae I am surprised there are not more complaints about this, but maybe not many need the stealth mode of hunting..Mine was so bad the turkyes flew off the roost when I came near...

Of course the best fix is a sponsor roll cage, but until I can afford that..here ya go......

I had two problems the back end violently shaking and the noise from the top rubbing on the supports. Here is a picture of the "fix" for the shaking..
I used some tubing from an old tree stand and attached to the sides of my BRUT, in your case I think you could run your supports down to your aft seat arm..

The second was the squeaking from the top, between the roof itself and the upper supports.. I took some 1/8" thick rubber strips and cut them to lay in between the roof and the roof supports ( they fit perfect in the groove). Drilled a hole and reinserted the bolts for the top and tightened..

I just searched for these, maybe a sponsor has them too..

Will this fix the windshield issue? I would think Bayou added them but I did not see them on the pics..

Even with those installed on the 95, I still had a squeak from the lower windshield rubbing on the supports..At first I took the bumper approach suggested by Steve. Those lasted me a week. Next I used some double sided foam stickies, NOT.. in the end I drilled a hole through the lower windshield and support and put in bolts..That has held up to-date..

Man I love YOUR cart....Good luck

That's really interesting, I've never seen an 07 with the square aluminum tubing front roof support. I thought in 01 when they changed over to one piece seat backs and the new style roof that they went to different style black supports

I know... weird huh?
It's a Lynx hunting vehicle, and there were 4 of them like that when I bought it new!
and yet, there's an 04 Lynx at the campground, and it has the new style roof and black supports!
My guess is that CC changed it back to the old style for a lower profile for tree limbs and such.
