Default 2006 club car precedent 48 volt dropping power

Hello and Merry Christmas to all. I have a club car precedent I just picked up from a neighbor that was moving back up north. It runs good and all of a sudden it will just drop power for a second and take off again. sometimes it feels like it has a surging feeling in it. The charger is putting out good and the batteries are 12 volt Trojans dated 2012. I cleaned up the pedal assy. and replaced the MCOR thinking it was going bad but it still does the same thing. Has anyone on here had this problem and can tell me what to look for please. Thank you.

I would check all the battery and motor cables.

If it wasn't the MCOR it could be a shorted wire at the pedal micro switch not sure if that has one? or the solenoid is failing / has a bad connection.just my 2 cents

Could the solenoid be causing this. It also slows to half speed sometimes

Just a though, have you checked you speed sensor connections. I would think if they were loose it might cause the problems you are having.

okay here's some more information this car will run about 23 miles an hour.its stock height with stock tires and a stock controller. It will run for about 20 or 25 minutes and then it'll shut down to run about half its speed. I can let it sit for about 10 minutes and take off again for another 20 minutes before it acts um. My question is how can it run 23 miles an hour and have a stock controller in it? Is the system getting overheated and something shutting the cart down to protect itself ?
