I took a look at my receipts (I sound organized......but I just keep that stuff in my email....'cause it's easy ) and I purchased my GBC Gator 22-11-10 tires in August of 2014. I still have 'em and they are still going strong. Now, in the heat of summer I take 'em off for about 2 months and just put back on the chepie tires that came with my cart as when I go to gun ranges some "complain" that my Gator's leave ruts (yeah.....right) so swapping 'em out is easier than listening to old guys Ummmm "female dog."

I really like these Gators as I've climbed hills that I could not climb before and with 4" of snow I no longer need chains. I do run them with 15-lbs of air pressure as anything less (at first I ran with 7-lbs) I hit a few big ruts and had the tire pop off the rim. Not good when your a mile in the woods. But since I put 15-lbs all is good.

Worth the $$$$ and will buy again.

The best I have used so far are AMS Swampfox 25x12-10. They are low pressure, 7 psi max advertised. I run 7 psi in the front and 10-11 psi in the rear, no problems yet.

They have a soft compound that creates a LARGE contact patch on the ground. These tires are not noisy at all on the pavement and ride very smooth. I got stuck all the time with the carsly strykers, never gotten stuck with the swamp foxes.

They have so much traction that even with 450 amps @72 volts pushing a D&D torque motor the tires can stall the motor.

I've been running GBC Gators for over a year now and have no issues. They'll stall a motor or burn up a controller before they slip. For a 22x11x10 size I came up with these two. the GBC's actually roll around 23" in diameter.

I narrowed my search to these two, tread trumped weight for my use.

22x11-10 GBC Gator - .87" tread depth, 18.2lbs

22x11-10 Maxis Zilla - 3/4" tread depth, 15.6lbs

Anybody looked at the MadJax 23" Raptor mud tire? I just talked to MadJax, they said tread depth is around 7/8"

After much input, i chose the Grim Reaper 23x12x8 Tires on 12" Wheels, both from pureoffroad.com

I added the disc front brakes from jakes and here is the final stance! Im very pleased with my choices and I think it made my cart look manlier too!

Happy Hunting everyone!

My thoughts. ( not worth much. Just ask the wife. ) I have been Mudding for the last 30 tears. The times have changed. as Scotty B said Anything that resembles a tractor type tire tread will pull in the mud . This is what is working the best on our trucks, And The race trucks of today. Not sure whay is really out there but I see some above that would and will be on one of my carts. We still go the mud holes and races all the time.

Good choice!!! Now you can go.....and you can stop!! To be able to do both of those things are wonderful things to do.....and not give a second thought of wondering if it will do it. You know it just will.

Happy Hunting!!!

I ended up ordering the Madjax Raptor's on vortex wheels. They should be showing up next week. Hoping they do the job
