Default Precedent Excel Contoller

My cart is a 2010 Club Car i2 Excel Precedent serial number PH1046-148983 Option 1 is to get the reconditioned or new Curtis 1515-5201 controller. How reliable are these & apart from Club Car where would i purchase one? the retailer would be required to ship to Australia.
Option 2 is a SEPEX 1515S controller that from what i read is supposed to work without any modifications. Has anyone heard of this type & how reliable they are?
Option 3 is to switch to the ALLTRAX controller, of which i would get the 500 amp, & components to suite. This also means changing my 2010 i2 Excel wiring harness to a 2008 & up IQ wiring harness. Is this correct? Would this "running" system be more reliable?
If i go option 3 does anyone know where i can purchase the complete IQ wiring harness that would ship to Australia?
Any comments would be appreciated as i'm very new at these things & know bugger all.
My thanks in advance
Birchie

Hi Birchie - I have the same cart (even the same year) as you and have the same problem: I live outside the USA and have the hassle of getting stuff shipped.

The 1515S 350A controller change worked ok for me (see my thread on the subject), although I would have loved a more powerful upgrade. Installation very easy as it's a one-for-one replacement and you don' even need to drill any new hole. My mechanic did the job in about 15 minutes.

I tired to get a 1268 Flight Systems 500A controller working with my cart and followed the instructions exactly, but my cart wouldn't even power on and eventually I had to abort the installation. I even called Flight Systems directly (and spoke directly to the guy who wrote the conversion instructions) and the problem could still not be resolved.

Option 4 is to upgrade to a Curtis 1268 controller from FSIP (check with them to see if they ship) I installed mine in a few hours and found the install to be both simple as well as plug and play and other than one wiring issue likely of my own creation I have nothing to complain about. The 1268 is a huge robust controller with a massive heat sink that I can only guess has a world of programming options. With this controller and new motor my cart pushes into 33+ MPH and has great hill climbing power.
