Cart cuts out at full throttle?
I've got an 09 CC lifted with 12" wheels/off road tires and stock drivetrain.
We took it for a spin this weekend and noticed at full throttle the cart seems to cut out. I can back out of the throttle and everything seems ok. The throttle pedal was replaced this past summer due to surging. Any suggestions? |

Re: Cart cuts out at full throttle?
Use a multimeter on the ohm setting and check that the mcor not cutting out at full throttle. I replaced one recently that was doing the same thing

2009 Precedent? If it's an Excel "PH Serial Number" vehicle then there should be an adapter plugged into the MCOR with resistors in it. These fail often and cause the problem you're describing. Most people end up changing the MCOR only to be disappointed that their problem still exists. The adapter piece is part #103682701

Tahoe :
Can you tell me how I can test this adaptor, so I know that it is the bad part? I would like to know, so I don't have to change the mcor, unless its necessary. Thanks |

Re: Cart cuts out at full throttle?
Check the resistance between each of the three pins of the three pin-connector and their corresponding pins in the 5 pin adapter plug. You should see 461 ohms on each one of them.
