Default IQ cable kit

I recently upgrade my IQ cart to a 500 amp control and wanted to upgrade my cables to 4 GA. I wanted to do it myself to save some money. What are the lengths of the cables that I am going to need?

Nate, I will promise you that the money you think you will save in doing the kit yourself will end up costing you in the long run. Cheap cable is less electricity, more resistance and corrosion. Not to mention the time. ScottyB and other sponsors have great kits.

I had a local dealer do it for me and I could still kick myself in the rear for it. It was cheaper, and is is poor. I really regret it. It is not even what I asked for. That is probably the reason it was cheap. I asked for 4 ga to be put it and even the connectors are less than expected. When you pay for a new set of batteries, you think you would get good service.

Do it right the first time. It will last much longer and it will be what you need.

I wish I had gone to King of Carts here in town to start with.

If you are going to do it yourself, just measure the existing cables on the cart now. You don't need to upgrade the two smaller gauge wires on the motor. You will need to purchase the cable, the terminal ends, nice shrink wrap for the ends and you need a means to properly crimp them. The best are soldered.

I have not personally used Scottyb's cables but have heard time after time that they are the truth. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Batter..._Upgrades.html
