Default Controller for Agni motor

Hi, I'm Kim from South Korea.
I find this web-site during surfing the Internet.
I'm student in college, and I make a Electric car.
It is about 210kg without driver. (include batteries)
I use 48V system.

I have Agni 143 motor. And now I use Alltrax AXE-4855 500A.
However, I want to buy controller with regen function.
Could you recommend controller for me? (it must have regen funtion.)
I think Kelly, Sigma controller.

And Also I have a question. What is the different 4Q and 2Q? (I think it is used about motor or controller)
One more, I heard I can use 400A controller and 500A controller.
What is the diffterent 400A and 500A? just limit the current?
I heard 500A is better output than 400A, right? then if I use more than 500A controller, It makes better output?

Thank you for reading! I think this web-site is the best to get my answer.

WOW - that thing is bad to the bone. I love the 4 wheel independent suspension and brakes. Alltrax makes many Sepex controls with regenerative brake feature. They are the DCX line up = DCX500 maybe what you are looking for? what throttle input signal are you using?

I think the 2Q vs 4Q is about 2 quadrant vs 4 quadrant operation.
Motors have two types of energy conversion that take place, electrical to mechanical and mechanical to electrical.
You will need a 4 quadrant controller to have Regen capability (mechanical to electrical conversion).

An AXE 4855 controller would indicate a series wound motor, and I don't think any series wound motor is capable of regenerative braking. Regen requires a Sepex style motor, and the controllers and motors are not interchangeable.

I think what he is saying is he is changing his drive system to a Separately Excited or shunt wound motor with Regen capabilities.

We are not at all familiar with the motor you reference. It may require a special controller program "MAP" .... call Alltrax direct the are on Pacific time.
