Lightbulb 48v to 12v wiring

Hi getting ready to wire up my converter. My question is want to wire it to come on with the key found out there is no power at the key. Sorry its a 2000 club car ds. Are you guys wiring them direct to the batteries an using a separate switch or leaving them on all the time ? Thanks in advance

Or you could install a seat switch to kill power to it unless you are on cart.

What converter do you have? Is there no "trigger" wire?

Most 2 position headlight switches won't work that way! 1 hot in, 2 hot's out!
Your best off having a separate switches for the converter, and accessories!
