Default Do i need a voltage converter?

So as soon as I got my cc ds (last weekend) I jumped on the wiring. What a mess! It has factory head and tail lights but there was also a horn and a super old jvc stereo w speakers. But that's all gone now, I'm left with the complete harness sanz the switch.

I've already ordered some led fog lights and led tail bulbs but when i investigated under the seat it seems the harness is tapping straight onto one of the batteries.

I've read I need a voltage converter? Is this still true if I'm running led lights?

I put LED headlights on my cart and ran them straight to the batteries and when I was driving the cart the lights were very dim and would only shine bright when I was stopped and no load was on the batteries. If your going to run just LED lights, the I would get a small 10 amp voltage converter.

Lol yeah thank god it didn't look like that under my seat. Under the dash was pretty similar though. So any suggestions on best/cheapest place the find a voltage converter? I saw one on ebay for $30...

Cheap converters proved to be a poor investment for me. Others may have had different experience.

If it were me I would forget about a converter just get a separate 12 volt deep cycle marine batt put in bag well , ESP. If you are going to use a winch , I do not trust converters to not damage batt pack over a long time

Went ahead and took your advice bro. I remembered i had the battery from my old honda fit, which is pretty small, and fits down next to others.
