Re: club car charging.....
How many hours have they been charging when you unpluged it?, the battery pack can get to 67 volts before the charger will turn off by it's self, how low were the batteries when you started charging?, did you run the ground cable back through the OBC ?

Re: club car charging.....
yes ground and all wires are to the original positions,,tried new obc,new controller, recepticle for charger shows good continuity.....these are new batteries with a full charge,,, these have been charging for at least 2-3 hours charger cycles down from 15-20 amps and drops and stays at 5 amps stays there......

Re: club car charging.....
Whether they were fully charged or not - you do know that batteries (especially brand new ones) can take up to 16 hours to reach full charge...right? Did it stay charging at 5 amps for the normal/full 16 hours (or more) - is that what you are saying?

Re: club car charging.....
it does stay at 5 amps for quite awhile, being an 8-9 hour day and its always at 5 when I check on it. as far as voltage wise would that be correct or is that over kill....

Re: club car charging.....
. . . charging cycle can take up to 16 hours to complete with voltage reading during charge cycle of 60-65v all would be considered "normal" . . .

Re: club car charging.....
Per RIB33024 - even 67 volts isn't overkill while charging. But as long as the charger is shutting off by itself - and if its at 5 amps after eight hours (not 16) then its likely you are just seeing new batteries behaving normally - until they get fully broken in (can even take up to 3 mos. for full break in). Once they are broken in and settled, they typically aren't so charger-hungry.
