Cold Batteries or Need Replacement?

Hey Guys,
My cart (2007 Precedent 48V) has been sitting on the charger for a couple months now while the weather has been cold. I attempted to take it out yesterday and made it half a block before I was forced to turn around. I live up a small hill and she struggled to get home.

So, I fully charged the batteries (2010) overnight and the charger was charging in the mid 50's. In the morning the battery indicator showed 46 but as soon as I tool off it dropped to the low 30's and eventually 30 as we creeped into the garage.

We've been in the teens overnight and the 20's during the day. Could this performance be a result of the weather or is it time to replace them. I did notice a couple 36V carts tooling around.

I know someone is going to tell me to load test them, which I probably need to do, but I don't want to get stuck somewhere and have to tow the cart home. Can a load test be done in my garage? Maybe on jack stands?

I don't know why I didn't check the voltage before posting.... Duh.... But this morning my batteries are 12.3, 12.3, 12.4, and 10.4..... Obviously I have a dead cell/battery.

Can I replace this one battery without replacing the whole pack? I have been considering making the move to 6-8V batteries but with the holidays I don't have the cash flow at the moment and it would be way too expensive to replace the pack twice.

You can replace just the battery that you need, just remember that the system will only run as good as your weakest battery. I don't know what you use your cart for but I would save up and do the conversion.

If you are going to replace just one battery, find a good used one from around 2010 as well.
Remember the batteries charge in series, so the good battery will overcharge and boil because the weaker batteries cannot get up to charge voltage as quick (if at all).

Ok... A local homegrown GC repairman happens to have a cart with 3 good batteries and 1 bad one also. He is going to sell me 1 for $40. Hopefully this will get me through till I can do the conversion.
