. . . you are throwing in too many mixes of body style, system versions and cart model prefixes, causing confusion . . .

Precedents come either IQ or Excel. . . serial prefixes of PD, PH, PU are for the Excel system . . .

I've done the excel up grade. FSIP does have one I provided the controller number and the link to purchase one. The only major difference between the IQ and the PH is the wiring harness. And fsip made one that's just a plug and play. I know because I upgraded my 2010 i2 excel PH cart. The serial number will either be IQ or PH it's that's simple. FSIP just came out with kit in late 2013. I want to say August because I purchased mine in September.

. . . there is no serial number that starts with IQ. . .

. . . I believe that the controller/harness "upgrade" you mention is not really an upgrade, but a conversion . . . it makes an Excel cart into an IQ cart . . .

When I say upgrade I meant I went from a 250amp controller to a 500 amp controller

I have a 2008 Precedent made in the 33 month, it is a PQ, not excel, I looked at it last night, so there are more than two versions in 2008. I forget the name on the controller but it was like charter or something like that.

Where did you find the serial # to your cart? It should either be on the passenger side kick panel or under the dash
