Also if you input the serial number on club cars website it will tell you. But if your controller is black then you have an IQ system.

I think your controller number will be 1513 which indicates It's a IQ

IQ controller (Black) is a 1510A
Excel controller (Grey) is a 1515

The excel controller is a better controller if you are going to keep it stock.

The whole confusion about the harness is mostly related to the 2009 to early 2010 Excel carts that were originally equipped with a TPS and converted to MCOR.

mymonstertruck,
The adapter that came with your controller upgrade, Did it plug only to the 16pin factory harness connector or did it also have new wires that went all the way to the MCOR?

FSIP has a 300amp or a 500amp controller with a wire harness that's just a plug and play. so i would go with 08 precedent. not to mention look on the cart if the serial # starts with IQ then any IQ upgrade will work. if it starts with PH then its the i2 excel version. which is what i have currently. and the 6 8volt setup is nice i love it.

I purchased the 500 amp controller, and yes it plugs into the factory 16 pin connector. Then plugs into the controller and I keep the factory mcor. It was just a adapter harness like an after market stero would have for a car. It's not cheap tho $609.00 if I had to do it all over I would just upgrade the motor to the bandit. It's getting expensive $1200 between the motor and controller, not including the cables and solenoid.
