Bypass the obc
I have read on line about aftermarket chargers that require adding a wife to bypass the obc in order for the charger to operate. I have a power drive 3 charger for my 97 48v ds. And currently when I plug in the charger nothing happens ( the charger dose not come on ). I have been told that due to this I may need to replace the obc Could I follow the steps to bypass the obc in order to have my current charger charge the batteries???
Thanks for any advise Tony |

Re: Bypass the obc
your cc charger needs an obc. You would need a DPI charger to bypass the obc.

Re: Bypass the obc
Wow, I haven't heard of those aftermarket chargers that require a wife...
You can try this test to see if the charger is good. If the cart charges, more than likely your OBC is bad. Don't let it go without monitoring it though, as it will never shut off... |
