Default 2010 Club Car Precedent - First build ?'s

So my first cart is going to be a 2010 Club Car Precedent. I want to put a 6" lift on it, I want it to have a descent speed 25mph?, and I want to be able to climb hills at a descent speed.

What am I going to have add to it to get more speed and more power for the hills?

I'm mostly going to use it at the campgrounds, but I would also like to use it around the house for light hauling and as a hunting cart.

Tell me what I need to do.

Thanks!

Since you are putting on a lift, you will definitely need more torque, which you can get by upgrading to a higher amperage controller. As for speed, the larger tires with the lift will increase speed, and you can also upgrade the motor. I would buy what you need from Scottyb at carts unlimited. He is very knowledgeable with carts and upgrades...

So far, from the info I've read, it seems like the controller I want is a 500amp as to increase the torque and spped? I'm trying to plan out, in what steps, what and when I will upgrade in the cart. The first thing I plan on doing is the lift, most likely a 6" lift and tires, not sure what type of lift yet. Any recommendations? Then it looks like the controller is next, but when I upgrade the controller, what else should I upgrade with it? Battery cables, etc? I have so many questions, just don't know where to start. I will definately give Scott a call when I'm ready to start ordering.

I have heard good things about both the AllSports lift kits and the Jakes lift kits.
You can check out the Allsports kits here.
You can check out the Jakes kits here.

When upgrading the controller, I recommend upgrading the battery cables as well.

Another thing you can consider if you want more torque and speed is a motor upgrade. I have also heard good things about the Plumquick and EMP motor upgrades.
You can check out the Plumquick motors here.

Jakes long travel is pricey but worth every penny when it comes to the ride

I have a Rohx 6" lift on my cart, I also have a 2010 precedent. And i like the kit a lot i have had it for about a year now with no problems. be careful on upgrading your controller, I only found one controller that would work with are excel system. I purchased it from FSIP, 500amp controller for $609.00. you will also need to upgrade your battery wires. 4g is what i would recommend, I installed 2g on my cart tho $129.00 Plus upgrade to a 400amp HD solenoid $90.00.

But the easiest upgrade for our cart is as followed.

1. Plum quick motor "Bandit" $225.00, 25mph, with 30% more torque
2. Hd rear springs $90.00
3. 4G battery cables $129.00
4. Have a speed code 3 programed to the stock controller
5.that's it, and you will be very pleased if i had to do it all over again this is what i would do.

mymonstertruck,

That's all the mods. These things are works of art and an awesome hobbie. Can't forget money pit!!! The coolest thing I have found about DIY overtime, there is always something new or different to do to the cart!!! My cart just keeps evolving!!

It depends on how much money you're willing to spend. I just mounted a 12" led light bar on my cart and it's great. Only 72 watts with 2.5amp draw, with the best part of 5,000 lumens of light.

That's one of the upgrades I'm planning on as well. Gonna invest in a 24 inch light bar. Gonna mount it on my roof rack!
