How to slow cart down?
I recently bought a PQ motor and will be installing it this weekend. I was just wondering if there is a way to install a switch to limit the top speed. Lets just say kids will be kids and want to drive it around the neighborhood and I wouldn't won't them going any faster then stock speed. I have a 2004 CC DS series cart.

Re: How to slow cart down?
Riverside,
On a series cart I think the simplest way may be to some how limit the gas pedal movement? This is just a thought but maybe you could some how not alow it to move the full range of movement to the mcor? Steve |

Re: How to slow cart down?
Drill a hole in the top of the peddle and install a carriage bolt and nut which sticks out on the bottom side so the end of the bolt hits the floor and limits the pedal travel.

Re: How to slow cart down?
Guys have you forgot being a kid.
If they can see something they think will make it go faster by re adjusting or removing they will. Best thing would be to put a resister in line somewhere that would allow you to hid a switch somewhere to put it in line or take it out. The mcor operates based on resistance, if I understand it correctly. Maybe someone can post where and how to put it and wire it. |

Re: How to slow cart down?
I don't know about club car exactly. what I was thinking about doing the same thing on my cart. I would just hide a switch and tie into the 1/2 speed reverse terminal.
