Default IQ capasitor discharging ?

I know of many many Precedents carts that after sitting over night or even several hours that you turn the key on put in forward or reverse and you have to press the go pedel several times befor the solenoid activates the system.I believe this is caused by the capistors discharging in the controller. Can anyone shed some light on this as I have no idea what if any a cure wold be.I know of so many owners with this issue and many that have no issue at all.
Thanks,Tom

It's the solenoid lockout feature of the OBC. The OBC goes into sleep mode when the cart is left untouched for a period of time, or after a complete charge. It's normal, there is no "cure" as it's not a "problem"

That is the OBC going into a "sleep mode" and you may have to press the pedal several times to "wake it up".

EDIT: I see that TahoeDawg has beat me to it!

I'll say that it is caused by an improper sequence of events. I think its called "high pedal disable"

Yes taho dawg I am happy with your answer.I sell a lot of carts in senior communities and from time to time I get a call from someone with this issue and I explain it to them and all is ok.But also I'll get some old person that says It has to be fixed.I'll print this out and use it for future reference.
Thank so much,Tom

A single press of the pedal would wake up the OBC, pressing it several times I am sure is not part of the design.
Pressing the pedal, noticing the cart is not moving, then putting the FNR in forward without first releasing the pedal, as pointed out earlier, would also cause a controller fault and prevent the cart from moving.
Unless you can find a cart that has a reproduce-able problem to troubleshoot, I would have to go with user error.

The best thing to tell your customers is to put the car in reverse, turn the key on, press the pedal once and wait til they hear the buzzer. The car is now awake and ready for usage.
