10 spline older ezgo motor fit club car ds?

Will a 10 spline motor from an older ezgo (80-86) fit a 48v series drive CC DS? Both have 10 splines but maybe they are different? I dunno.

I am pretty sure the EZGO rear ends turn in the opposite direction as the Club Car

I am curious what difference the rotation alone makes....
Some DC motors like treadmill motors that are designed to turn on a single direction will have a "brush shift" relative to the neutral axis and will not work well or at all in a reversed rotation situation.
It should also be marked in the nameplate if that was the case (Ie. CW or CCW).
Or is there a physical mounting difference as well?

Not worried abot direction. On series motors you just swap S1 and S2 wires to correct direction.

Are the 10 splines the same on old ezgo's as the club cars and will the motor mount the same (bolt pattern)?
