Default 14" wheels with 205 tires

Anyone ever try one of these for squeezing 20" tires under non-lifted cart?

My 6" lift just looks kinda funny to me with these wheels and tires and I'm thinking about lowering it back to stock height.

205 which? I find at the dealership we tend to stay with 205-30-12 as the largest tire under a stock Prec. Anything larger tends to rub in the back and hit the frame in the front on hard turns.

I put 21" tires on 14" Wheels on my cart, and I think they are 235/30-14"
I had to lift the front 1" by building an Aluminum block for the front, and I took a small saw and cut the arc over the wheels in the rear fenders by 2"
This allowed me to stuff those sucked underneath without lifting the cart very much, since My wife is Mobility Impaired and can't get into a lifted cart.

A picture is in my profile.

Thanks for the replies.

I have the 305-30-14's and mine is a CC DS. Anyone tried this on a DS?

With the body mocked up (and the 6" lift still in place) it looks like I shouldn't have any rubbing issues due to too much offset in the rear. The front looks like there would be the typical rubbing on the drivers side during hard turns. I know that this can become more severe when adding weight and/or trying to corner like its' on rails.

I've thought about going to a 3" lift, but I think I can make this extension work at stock height. It kinda kills the redneck in me to be taking off a perfectly good lift kit...

I could try this out tonight if I hadn't thrown away the stock spindles, doh! I hope I can find em cheap laying around at one of the shops around town.

How did this work out for you? I have a 99 club car that I want to run 14's on.

I went with stock spindles and surprisingly there is no rub. Been running good with no issues. I'm still considering a wheel extension kit and wheel spacers for stability since it does about 28 mph with the Bandit Motor upgrade.

Hope this helps.
