Default While I have the motor out

hello all I have the motor for my 94 clubcar resistor cart off sent it to those guys at Plum quick ( Bandit ). My question is when I turn the passenger side wheel the drivers side turns Slightly, if you turn it slow but turning the drivers side the passenger side does not turn is this normal and should it be a stronger reaction. seems that both sides turn the splines that go into the motor. also is there fluid in the rear end that should be changed if yes what weight oil is best, thanks always appreciate the help DD

Don't know about the 'wheel turns', but use no Motor oil, only Gear Oil. There are many reasons why, which may be given by others; however, the obvious is in their names, ie.; Gear vs. Motor as each are made for specific applications. I use Castrol HYPOY C Gear Oil SAE 80W-90. The recommended change-out for my cart is min. every 5 years.

The other wheel turning as you describe is normal for a open differential.
