Re: How to hookup lights to voltage reducer
Yellow wire will go to main positive on the pack.
Black wire will go to B- on the controller on the opposite of the OBC from the battery pack, this way the OBC senses the current being pulled by the lights and radio. Green wire will go to the cold side of the key switch (terminal that has 48v when key is on and 0v when key is off) Red wire will go to the positive of the light kit and radio. Blue wire will go to the 'memory' wire of the radio, that way your presets and clock won't reset everytime you turn off the cart. The grounds for all the accessories will also go to the B- of the controller. I would recommend installing a fuse block with grounds to keep wiring organized and all your fuses will be in one place... |

My bad bro.. This whole thing is confusing since I have like a pop fuse and spade connectors and everything... Im sorry to ask but can you post a full description on how to wire everything up? Including the lights and radio and speakers? Thanks bro... I'm new to this kind of stuff and figured it would cost less doing it myself

How to hookup lights to reducer on precedent
Hey guys! I have a question to ask you. I recently bought a 2010 club car precedent and found out that it is a pain in the @!/ to do anything to it due to the 6 eight volt batteries!!!!!! I bought a light kit and stereo speaker system. And I also bought a mad jax dc power converter ( 30 amps 36/48 volt system) I honestly have no clue how to install everything, the reducer is so confusing with wiring everything, I'm ready to burn that @$/:! I was wondering you guys could explain to me and whomever else is having this problem how to install the light and radio to this reducer... The bucket harness also came with a pop fuse, how I hook that up I don't really know! I figured I would let the professionals help me since you guys know what your doing... I'm an amateur and I'm going to do something to screw this up ( well I already blew the headlight bulbs :( ) so if you guys could help out that could be great... P.S. Let's go on a revolt and make club car out 4 12v batteries in their new systems! thanks guys!!

Find some other carts and look them over. Seeing something is better than reading about it.

I don't think you'll find many people to join the revolution here.

. . Club Car already did the 4-12v setup for a couple of years . . . after many complaints from their Fleet customers (golf courses, etc) about the fact that they were experiencing reduced run times, CC went back to the 6-8v setup . . . you are about 8 years late with your revolt . . . |
