I looked the motor up and it says it is a torque motor and has a gain of 20% in torque and when I get done washing it I armor-all the tires and it will spin them for about 10 feet. It will also spin them in anything loose.

Well...theres your problem. No traction. Those alltrails aren't that good for that kinda stuff. (if thats what I see in your avatar) You still may not have enough amps to do a wheelstand......I don't know what controller you have.

Pretty hard to do wheelies on 36v. Not saying it's impossible....

I'd say if he's able to spin the tires good like that, he could probably get a wheelie out of it, if he could get traction (or if my fatness were standing in the bag well). :)

I have an alltrax 500 amp speed controller and my cart is 48 volt. It has done a wheely with 3 people in the back and 2 in the front and scared me really bad, so I was wondering if it could do it with just me on it.

My controller is programable, do you think that I could program it to be more aggresive?

I'd worry about why the wire burned in half first.... I just can't imagine it burning in half. A LOT of the wiring would be melted and you would have noticed it (smelled it, and saw smoke) long before it could burn "in half", and most likely something else would have melted and/or damaged in the process.

Did you ever figure out what caused it, or how you're going to fix it?

Or were you just pulling our chain? Trying to get our attention so you could ask about programming the controller to wheelie your cart? ;)

I looked at the cart again and another wire looks like it is going to come in half and it is hooked to the front and reverse switch also.

Where are these wires leading to? Are they both going to the motor? I know you said the first one was leading from forward/reverse switch to motor, but what about the other one?

Any pictures of the damage for us? It will surely help someone diagnose your problem.
