Default 2008 Club Car dies intermittently

I have a 2008 Club Car Precedent with new batteries that dies (pushing pedal does nothing forward reverse, turning switch on and off). It is a 4/12v battery setup. Batteries are fully charged and voltage is good and all connections are clean and tight when it happens. Occassionally even with the previous set of batteries it would die. I don't think it is heat related because it has done it 100 feet from the house before it even had a chance to heat up. It happened today after 45 min of hard hilly running with 2 people and I switched the tow/run switch on and off and it started running again. I was able to ride for an hour more with no issues and battery light never came on. I abused it on more steep hills and was not able to get it to happen again. does anyone have any ideas?

Could be an mcor issue. does the solenoid click when depressing the pedal? Sometimes the wires under the dash can do this if they have a short or corroded connection.

Today while it was down I t did click once that I remember. Felt like it was going to move but did not. If I remember correctly it will not click every time. But even when it does it does not move.

I would put in in Forward and step up and down on the Go pedal and see if the solenoid click each time. When it clicks, the cart should move...

Actually it developed another issue. It started being really jerky at low speeds. Today I was off work so I took the pedal unit out to check the mcor using recommended procedure with a volt meter. The trouble shooting lead me to the controller. Of course during all of this I reseated all the connections several times and cleaned everything up. I also reseated and cleaned up everything behind the dash. I put it back together assuming the speed control was bad. Tried it out one more time and the jerking is gone. I assume reseating everything fixed it. At least for now. Maybe it was all related. The dying and the jerking. Hopefully it stays this fixed. Thanks for asking.

being jerky is usually another sign of a faulty mcor but it could of been a bad connection too. i just had a cart today that would die intermittently but when you touched the dash you could get it to go again. ended up being a bad connection on the key switch cutting power in and out. I just wanted to make sure you are headed in the right direction and not banging your head against the wall.

Could also be the f/r switch.

Back to its old games again. Today it died and would not move. Good charge all cables good. When you press the go pedal you can hear the microswitch click. The solenoid will not click on downward push of pedal but will click on the way back up at the top of the pedal movement and the cart will try to move and then the solenoid immediately clicks again stopping cart from moving. Like the solenoid clicks on and then back off immediately. Rarely thel solenoid will click on downward push of pedal but when it does it clicks off immediately. Any help appreciated. Both forward and reverse do this.

Have you tried another solenoid yet? It kinda sounds like the control circuit is working backwards.
