Default Precedent Headlamp Bulb Alternatives

I have a 2005 Precedent with very poor headlamp brightness. The cart currently has the original equipment GE 894 bulbs and I would like to upgrade to a better bulb. Can anyone tell me if I can install Halogen, Xenon or HID bulbs with no problem to the lens or housing? Will any of these improve the down the road brightness?

Appreciate any help with this, Club Car has been absolutely no help other than to tell me to install the newer front end with better headlamps for $510.00

Install a led light bar for the same price as new light bulbs, then you will have more lights all the way around.

Yep the light bars are good. I think you can also upgrade to HID bulbs; it seems like I have seen it done on here before...

I would really like to try just a brighter set of bulbs before I look at adding a light bar of some kind. Has anyone just done a bulb swap and if so, what bulbs and how did they work out.

Look into a led light bulb swap, I've seen them on here before. Look on ebay as well.

This was my write up of my hid install. They are still working great without any issues...

886 bulbs are considerably brighter and are a direct replacement.

Thanks TahoeDawgZ71 that's exactly what I was looking for, will give them a try. I noticed the 886 is 50 W as opposed to the 894's 37 so that should help.

I put Sylvania silverstars in mine and it made a huge difference. $9 each at walmart. Take your old bulb and they will be able to set you up with the correct one.
