If one of the batteries arcs inside due to internal failure (trust me it happens), ALL of your batteries can possibly explode. My advice is to cut the tubes at each battery or remove the system entirely and replace with regular battery caps. The explosions I described are rare but----------!

This is EXACTLY what happened to a neighbors cart. One battery cell had water below the plate (we are guessing) which caused an arc igniting that cell. The watering system took that ignition to all the other cells in all the other batteries and blew the whole system. His cart is still in the shop (going on three weeks) and last time we talked his estimate was at $1800.

I use a cheap filling bottle off of Amazon and fill the batteries till water is level with the well in each cell. Living in Arizona, battery water level is something that you tend to check almost every day.

There have been too many of these incidents for me to use a watering system even if they do have "internal flame arresors built in".
