Got my 01 DS RUNNING!!!!. Got my first golf cart before christmas, got it from one of my neighbors. the golf cart was under water after the storm we had here in NC. my neighbor got it from someone else, and he dint want it to put money to it in order to get it running again. After replacing a few parts i got it running again tonight. Now that is running again, any one knows what type of diff oil my 01 club cart needs?. while i was checking to see if the diff had water after being under water, i had to drain the oil in the diff. Lucky enough that it dint had any water in the diff, but the oil is very dirty and might it well replace it.

-22oz's of 85w/90 synthetic rear end grease. Mobil 1 or any good quality type will work fine. Factory is 30w.
-Jack it up, pull the fill plug which is up the side of the housing. Then pull the drain plug and drain. (check oil for any foreign material)
-Reinstall the drain plug, stick your manual $8 lube pump tube (from Advance Auto Parts) in the fill hole (do not attempt to use the vent hole), lower the cart back level and pump it until it reaches the threads of the fill hole. (22 ounces + or - will get you there)

Thank you for the reply. Im glad you mention NOT to use the vent hole, because thats what i thought i had to open up to get the gear oil inside. I need to look closer for the fill hole on the side.

Worked on my 94DS conversion, painted the battery tray area top and bottom, installed Jakes 4" Double A-Arm lift kit, new rear brake pads, installed SR48500 kit partially.
