This is pretty lame, but here goes. I bought a pair of custom decals with our family name and house address to stick on the sides of the cart. It arrived yesterday. Today I opened the envelope and played with the decals. Better than nothing, right?

OK..... Is that not just advertising where people can come and steal the cart after hours?

Kind of like a friend who had just bought a vehicle with GPS nav build in. He was showing us how nice it worked. He pushed a button a said , " see when go on a trip all I have to do is push this home button and it will show me how to get home ". I said so you don't know where you live. Also when you are out of town and someone steals your vehicle all he has to do is push home and go rob your house, he has your vehicle. No one will notice

True. My BMW has that facility so we have programmed the button to take us to a large intersection a little way from home. That means that we can get to a known point from anywhere but a thief with our car will just get to a large intersection with no further instruction as to where the house is.

Even if your home address isn't programmed into the GPS as the "home" destination, can't the thief just go into your glove compartment and look at your vehicle's registration/insurance papers (with your home address on them) to get that same info to lead him to your house?

a few years ago I would never carry the vehicle's registration because of that, and when pulled over I would tell that to the police officer, but i'm pretty sure now a days or at least where I live they give you one copy of your vehicle's registration without your address on it, that one goes into the car..

Your address was required on your golf cart in the gated community in Florida that we lived in. It was the equivalent of a license tag. So when people acted up on their carts they could be easily identified.

Thanks Mike but I think I'll leave well enough alone. I'd probably make a big mess of it.
