Default Battery Questions

It is just about time to replace batteries in the 03 IQ. I can get Duracell Golf Cart Batteries (Made by East Penn Deka) for the following prices:

( 8 ) 6 volt batteries for $676.16
( 6 ) 8 volt batteries for $598.32

My questions are:

Which combination of batteries is better? 8 x 6volt or 6 x 8volt?
What do you think of the Duracell batteries? (Yes, I will most likely get the Duracell's anyway. They are the shortest distance away)
Are these prices fair?

i'm trying to decide the same thing for my 08 precedent. i can put 8volt batts in with no mods or i can put 6volt batts in but i will have to some how mount 2 in the bagwell. i can get 6volt batts much cheaper then 8volt though. i've been told i will get a little more run time out of the 6volts but you have to remember your adding weight to the cart also. about 120lbs.

8-6v batts will yield longer run times...

I have never dealt with Duracell golf cart batteries, so don't really know how good they are.

That looks great Olman. How do you get to the batteries to service them ? How did you mount that box to the bag well ?

All I have to do is remove four 1/4 inch bolts, swing the rear seat toward the rear and I'm there. Takes me 5 minutes. The box fits against the bag well front wall and if you look at the pic, you will see the supports for the rear seat hold the box on the other side. I cut a piece of 1x10 to fit under the box then screwed a 3/4 inch strip to the board to hold the bottom in. You can mount it any way you want. With over 100 pounds of batteries in there, the box doesn't move at all.
