Default Speed/Torque

Getting ready to order a controller and maybe motor for my 2010 CC Precedent (excel). I just ordered a Jakes 6" double a-arm and 22" tires and I plan on starting the install next weekend.

I'm looking to get up to like 25 mph (maybe more) and add some descent torque to it to get me up the hills. I have #2 cable already to upgrade the battery cables, and I plan on getting a 500a controller. Will this be enough or should I also upgrade the motor? Solenoid? Etc? What controller(s) work on my cart?

Any advise on what you guys have done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I just put the 4" jakes a arm on my 2007 cc prec. with 22x11x10 Mojave's,400 amp controller and a hd solenoid. I just put the controller in tonight and it just ripped up a hill I couldn't even climb the other day....im not looking for speed I wanted torque, and boy what a difference. Hope this helps........(stock motor too)

You may want to consider converting the harness to an IQ system. I'm told that there are far fewer option for motor/controller upgrades on the excel system. I'm not an expert on the issue, so I will let others chime in here. I'm sure you could search for threads on excel vs. IQ Precedents.... Best wishes on your project!

How many controllers work with the excel? MyMonsterTruck uses a Ge 500amp controller, so I know that will work, but what others? Just want to see what options are out there

I just want to know what sizes and manufacturers fit a 2010 CC precedent excel and then go from there ... I'll stick a 700 in there!
