New Motor for 83 CC Royal Ride???
Opinions needed! I have a GE 2 1/2 HP 3300RPM 36V Model #5BC48JB722A. I am upgrading to the 48V solid state. Should I use the original motor(still works) and just send it to Plum Quick OR should I get a new motor with more HP? I don't want to do a major change so I would need something that would fit right into the old motors spot. My husband and I are clueless about all of this!
Thanks! |

Re: New Motor for 83 CC Royal Ride???
Depends on what you want really. Just leaving the motor stock and running it on 48 volt will get you 33% more speed and torque. This is the most cost effective, then you could send it to PQ which would be a bit more expensive, then you could get a whole new motor which would be most expensive. Performance will also increase in the same order.

Talked to PQ, they said pretty much the same thing:) first try it stock, then send it to them, and as a last resort get a new motor. Thanks!
