Power Drive 2 problem
Have a power drive 2 that starts transformer hum then trips circut breaker,the
run is short and no movement on the ampmeter,checked stickies no luck PD2.Put a relay in it no change anyone have any trouble shooting info or can point me in a direction.Thanx in advance,Dave |

. . . could be either charger fuse or rectifier . . . check those first. . . .

I just worked on one of those. Loud hum, no movement of ammeter, trips breaker = most likely rectifier. It can be obtained here: http://www.golfcartking.com/Club-Car...ier-p/4441.htm
There are cheaper ones, but this is a heavy duty 50amp that will last a long time! Also check the fuse as Steve suggested too. If the rectifier goes bad, it will sometimes blow the fuse. |

To Stevegrmich and Simple Man you guys were spot on,the rectifier took care of the Power Drive 2,Thanx for the direction.And Simple Man you asked what the car was and I just sent pics,I'm sorry it is a 1948 Chevy convertable,full custom,power is a 350 GM crate with Corvette/Camaro fuel injection on it.Dave
