Don't be concerned with that serial number sticker taped over another serial number sticker. The only thing different is gonna be the two letter prefix. The rest of the number is gonna be the same. They changed them at some point. Probably when they were de-NEVed.

Thank you for the reply. Aside from any cosmetic changes, are there any mechanical changes to re-nev or would I even need to? I'd like to add lights and a rear seat in the near future.

The De-NEV procedure included removing the high speed gears (10:1) and the motor controller was replaced with a regular IQ motor controller. I'm not sure what controller was on them but you can find 10:1 gears very easily. It appears that yours had the rear rollover bar and front wheel brakes removed as well. Most of them didn't go that far with the process.

Getting some positives and negatives. Love it. All in all, a good starter for $1K? Or run away?

That will be a good cart for $1000. Especially with only 2yr old batts. Heck, I paid $1250 for my 03 and that had batts from 2008. All in all, good purchase.

Golf Cars don't have front wheel brakes. It's not dangerous unless you upgrade it to go ridiculously fast. Personally, I hate front wheel brakes.
