1999 48V problems

well i got the charger to work. the relay was bad. the cart has a 300 amp controller with the a2 on the controller. has the 3.75 hp motor. 08 batteries. they do not fall below 48v when i load test them all. new FnR switch. all the wires seem good. couple get a little hot when it slows. the batteries check good as well as load test good. the problem is the cart is really slow. going up hill it slows more (small incline). i have checked the potentiometer and it seems good. i am trying to charge the batteries everytime i park it now and let the charger fully charge. i did test the motor also and it ohmed good. when i plug the charger in i let it charge all night and it was off the next day. not very fast when i first got on it but it still got slower. the charger goes to 15 amps when i first plug it in adn takes awhile to go down. is there any checks to do. also the orange light on the dash has never come on.

I have a 95 all stock CC like yours. It runs about as you describe. I know that I have 1yr old batteries and new 4g cables. I think that is about how they are designed to run. Mine goes about 12-13mph on the flat and near half of that up hill depending on the incline but, goes scary fast downhill?

sounds pretty much the same exc`ept mine is maybe slower. reverse is really bad. scott

If your batteries load test good, then change your cables to 4g. After that a biggier controller would be the next step.....

if you want a little more speed change all 6 gage cables to 4 gage.....all of them not just battery cables you,ll get 3 to 5 mph more...........................

did the pot test. checked good. 5600 - 0. but was told to check the output to the controller . the yellow wire and it should have 8 volts. it only read 5 and 4 volts. so it is not putting out enough volts. i guess that means it is not getting full volts into the pot. where is the loss of volts coming from. thanks scott
