looking for lightweight rear footrest
The stock one is too heavy. Looking for a lightweight option/modification. because we always have to remove it when hauling it in rear truck bed. Pain in the rear to keep reinstalling it. Thinking must be some way to weld a small steel bar or something.

Re: looking for lightweight rear footrest
There are companies that make fold up foot rests. Try Google.

Re: looking for lightweight rear footrest
Get a 2" receiver hitch step bar and eliminate the step, all together? Would need a 2" receiver trailer hitch. Just a thought.

Re: looking for lightweight rear footrest
Not sure about your current setup, but a self locking Wing nut sounds like a cure. Then just fold the step up. And drill a second hole through the top of the rail to hold it in place. Cotter pins would also work.
