Default 2000 36v draining batteries

so this cart will move when key is turned off and if you switch it into forward or reverse without pushing throttle, does this mean that the solenoid is stuck open? Ive been having problems charging it but now that i unhooked the cables from the first and last battery they charge up fine.

Yes it could be solenoid is stuck closed or it can be a micro switch is stuck closed = activates solenoid all the time..... try remove small wire from solenoid on one side. If the cart still runs then the solenoid is stuck.

took the wire off the micro switch on the forward and reverse switch and the cart still moves forward and reverse with key off and not pushing throttle, slowly but it does move

ok. So i replaced the solenoid and when i turned the key on there was a spark, I went over everything to make sure i had it wired right, for some reason it buzzes in reverse and forward, now the only way i can get it to move is if i just the top post on the solenoid and push the throttle. any ideas

Is this the right way to have the wires on top. I have checked the micro switch and it puts 36v thru it when on, and no .6v thru it when key if off or when switch isnt pushed. I had it this way to begin with and it shot a spark off the solenoid when i turned the key on. and the when i jump the top 2 post the tires want to start moving when jacked up in the air like the throttle might me adjusted alittle to much.

All 36v CC after 1995 were resistor coil fleet carts like this one.

Remove the cover from the V-glide. Inspect the wiper arm and contacts. Use sandpaper to clean up any burnt contact areas. Check to see the microswitch in the V-glide is operating correctly and that the V-glide wiper arm is coming all the way back to the zero position.
Remove the jumper wire on the solenoid large terminals.
