Default batterys losing power

05 club car presedent 4x12 volt. after charger kicks off, ride for a few blocks battey light comes on. or if it sits for a few days batteries are dead. I was told batteries are new, date says 11 dec 11. trogens 1275. I dead reset the OBC. what else can I do to find out what is wrong???

Immediately after charging, put the run/tow switch in tow and unhook the negative battery cable that runs thru the OBC (that will eliminate the possibility that something in your cart is sucking power at rest). Then wait about 12 hours and connect a multimeter to see what your voltage is. They should be 50.5 or above. I'm betting they won't be.

Really - this just sounds like another set of 12v batteries suffering an early death.

I will try that, the guy I bought it ffrom said when they refurbished it, lifted, 12in tire etc, the batteries were new, but dated 11 dec 11. under the sticker.
