Anyhoo.....

Time for an update on Ike.. He's still chuggin along without a single problem since his resurrection.. I did get him a set of new batteries last weekend.. The ones he came with finally succumbed to the salt water bath they took during the hurricane.. They had a good run, they were just over four years old, and had seen some pretty serious abuse.. He's sportin' a set of Interstates from Sam's Club now.. They're in the process of getting broken in right..

Still haven't done any paint work yet.. I'm in the process of installing a 48V to 12V DC converter to power the light kit.. The OEM light kit drawing on the last two batteries in the pack contributed to those battery's early demise.. I'll get some pics of the install up as soon as I can..

I think I'll shuffle off thru the rest of the forum now... I gots a bit of catchin' up to do!!

Finally finished up the DC converter installation.. I had the whole dayum cart torn apart to get all the wiring done to my standards!! I got a Servicemate SM2412-15, 15 amp converter.. It has an "ignition" circuit that is wired to the key switch, the converter doesn't power up unless the key is turned on.. It mounted right in the same location as the OEM voltage reducer, using a slot for 1/4" hex head bolts machined in the base of the unit.. Makes for a slick install..

Here's a few pics of the install...

Sounds like my big-blocked EZ... I've tweeked the carb and intake on it's 23 Vanny, it settles down to a nice, lopey, 650 RPM idle.. It absolutely pizzes my next door neighbor off, cause it sounds better than her Harley does!!!
