Tire rub and stiff ride after lifting a electric carryall
Hi everyone. Over the winter I put a 6" Jakes spindle lift on my carryall to get more ground clearance. I use the cart all summer long at the farm to do a lot of work and it was always getting stuck. That problem is now solved but since installing the lift the ride is almost unbearably stiff and if I turn hard at all the wheels rub against the fender well. I use this cart almost as much as my tractor and consider it a very important piece of gear. As happy as I am about the ground clearance its really tough to navigate around now because I can't turn and my teeth rattle every time I hit a bump. Is there a suspension package or something I can buy from a site sponsor? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Its a 2007 Carryall. SN QT0727-777365 Last edited by shaanar; 03-31-2014 at 07:04 AM.. Reason: added year and serial number |

Re: Tire rub and stiff ride after lifting a electric carryall
I'm not familiar with your particular cart but I know they now make two stage leaf springs. They start off somewhat firmer than stock but when you put more weight the heavy duty leafs kick in the support the extra weight. I just added them to my cart and although stiffer than stock not so bad and now I can load it down without bottoming out. You said you put a Jakes 6", I'd call them for ideas and see what they can do. As far as the fenders rubbing, you can go with fender flares and cut out the parts that rub to get the necessary clearance & still look good.

An A arm lift might have been a better choice for the front of the cart. You would have front independent suspension. Compared to what you have now.

Do you know who sells the A arm lift for this cart?
