Default Help!! Different sepex motors

I need help on this one. I have a hunting cart that is a sepex setup. It is a 4x4 hunting cart with dual curtis controllers and dual motors. i decided to take out the front axle/motor to maximize battery life. Both controllers are identical. This is where I am unsure. I wanted to send a motor to plumquick to get it rebuilt to maximize the single rear wheel power. Instead of taking off the motor on the back and renduring my cart imobile I just sent in the motor I took off the front assuming they were the same. I know at one point they had replaced the rear motor because it is an advanced motor and the front that I had sent in was a cheap stock china motor. The motor I sent to Plum quick has the A & F terminals spread out on the body of the motor and has the 3 wire harness coming out of the end. The motor I just took off has the A & F terminals close together and no 3 wire harness on the end.

Here is my question, what are the 3 wires coming from the end of the motor for? And what is the difference in the motor I took off(A&F terminals close together, no 3 wires) and the motor I am trying to install(A&F terminals spread over body and 3 wire harness)??? Is the wire harness needed?

3 wire harness is tach sensor, should be present on most all sepex motors. Send a picture of the id tag from the oddball motor with no tach sensor. Or a picture of both id tags.

Can't get pics right now.
Does the speed sensor have to be connected to anything for the motor to work?

The usage of the speed sensor signal is controller dependent, since your existing motor does not have one, your controller does not need it. You can just leave the connector hanging there.

Depends on the controller.

Ezgo DCS was a Sepex system without motor rpm control.

Ezgo DCS was a Sepex system without motor rpm control.
And so were the early CC regen systems.
