Lesteronic II Charger Problem
If you remember, before I rebuilt the 90 36v, I had a thread about how the Lesteronic II charger had an excessive draw issue. Fast forward to 2014, when I reassembled the cart, I "redid" the wiring. When I plugged the charger into the cart, it was at about 20 amps and was gradually coming down. When I drove it, I noticed it had a run time of about 20 mins. So yesterday, I decided to plug in the charger and watch it. It started out at 20 amps and came down to about 12 amps and it shut off. So, I immediately unplugged the plug that goes into the cart and then plugged it in again. Again, started at 20 amps, went down to about 12, and shut off again. Each "cycle" would last about 30-45 mins. Anyone have any ideas or tests for me to try?
Oh, the batteries are 2012 Trojan 12v GC batteries. |

Re: Lesteronic II Charger Problem
I have been talking with MudHog because he had a similar problem and he told me about a test for the timer so I am going to do that and report tomorrow.

Re: Lesteronic II Charger Problem
What is your bank voltage and individual battery voltage? Also, have you checked the specific gravity of each battery?

Re: Lesteronic II Charger Problem
The charger just shut off. But since 12:15, the ammeter was "stuck" on 10 amps and was like that until it turned off.
