Default Steps I should take to get first cart ready?

Ok, I was wondering a few things. This is a 36 volt v-glide/resistor coil 1995 Club Car. Its only use will be in my mothers 2 acre yard because she has trouble with her leg. No all day use or long run times.

Just got new batteries, have not used cart once since got it and wanted to clean it up before putting new batteries in.

Is there anything to check on the Resistor coils to know how good they are? (All I know is that they are rusted as it has sat all winter)

Do I need to take the V-Glide completely apart to clean the contacts?

Should I remove every wire and clean all contact points and put back together?

Should I drain and replace the rear drive fluid? (We got a good deal on it, but was told it has a rear end noise and has for 2 years, not sure if change fluid, add any additives, but either way may look for a used rear end anyway)

Any parts that do not cost too much that we should just replace now?

Any other advice?

Thanks for any replies, I really appreciate it.

congrats !!
yes clean wires and connectors look closely at wires going to F/R switch
check resistor coils , should be whole with no breaks or touching each other ,rust is not a big problem
i just run emery cloth on v-glide contacts check to make sure they are not worn out

rear end ... won't hurt to change fluid .. most likely it's low on fluid
grease the front ball joints and re-pack the hubs
replace the bushings in rear springs if the cart will be use "off road "
check rear brake pads
if needed i have the service manual for your cart
this is my wiring diagram for 36v V-glide

Thanks.

Should I change the brush on the V-Glide if it is worn at all? Not looked yet, will start it this week.

Thanks. Here she is:

$500 (needs some TLC, will paint it, redo seats, clean up etc.,) Already have brand new batteries ready for it. Got batteries from Rural King they had on sale for $69.99 ($10 core added if don't have old ones) plus get a 12% (I think it is) online rebate for a store card I think they give you (I wasn't the one who filled it out). (Normally they are $79.99 there) They are Rural King/Excide branded with 24 month limited warranty and 12 month replacement. I know not Trojan, but this a budget cart for limited use. Hope they are ok for a bit anyway.

How is the condition of the brush? Is it thick enough to just clean it all up?
Also should I take the reverse/forward switch apart and clean the contact surfaces?
Going to clean up the bolts on the coils too, one is a little loose.

Thanks
