Default Wont charge after thru OBC bolt trick.

So just replacet the remainder of my cables (from motor to controller, etc...) on my Precedent to 4AWG and did the threaded brass rod thru the OCB. Everything is working, cart runs just fine, forward/reverse still beeps in reverse. But when i plug the charger in nothing happens. Is there an issue with the brass rod touching something and causing a short... wouldnt that effect more than just charging? Also, i notice my battery light flashes onece every 4 seconds. Not sure if this is a code, or just a warning that batteries are low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is it possible to over tighten the nuts and crack the sensor?

. . . I would guess "yes" . . . people have tried to enlarge the hole thru the OBC with a drill and destroyed the OBC . . .

did you tape or shrink wrap the center of the bolt so it don't touch on the center ?

disregard... problem solved. I failed to connect the small 12g ring termainal to the + battery post. Good thing i took before pics... i noticed there was an additional terminal on the + side of the battery that had fallen down between the batteries after removing. All good now... she's charging.

I upgraded the cables in my 2003 CC Series with Scotty's 2 ga. I did not upgrade the neg because I was waiting for a cable. The cart charge fine a couple of times and shut off auto. When I got the cable in I installed the OBC bolt and the two ga cables. Funny thing is that the batteries charged fine but the charger did not auto shut off. The longest the new batteries took to charge and the charger shut was 8 hours. I left the charger on for 12 hours but it just when down to 1 or 2 amps for 5 hours but will not auto shut off. I am going to reset the OBC today. Maybe that will help ???? Just curious if yours worked.

Anytime you disconnect the battery cables for more than a few minutes, the OBC looses all data about how much energy was used since last charge. The OBC defaults to the alternate protocol the next charge cycle, which is a dv/dt. Let it run the entire charge which may be up to 16 hours.

Ok Thanks Sergio. Going to plug in this morning. Batteries are at 50.8 volts. I sure don't want to screw up the new set of batteries...
