Nice picture! Are you upgraded to speed code 4? That will get you close to 20. A speed magnet can get you low to mid 20s...

Golf carts are great, you will have tons of fun with it, and you couldn't have picked a better place on the internet to come for help!
The magnet should boost your speed at least 5 mph...

Np Naganalf, I'm all about everyone getting the info they need! I checked my cables and they are only 6 gauge. I'll plan on upgrading that too. So will a 400a be sufficient long term or will I want to upgrade bigger later? Would a 500a work or be too much for the motor?

There are guys with 400 amps that are happy. As for what the motor can take, I'm really not sure...
But yes, the 6 ga cables are only good for the stock controller and nothing bigger.

Very nice cart !! Looks like a great deal. I have a 2003 Series that I am trying for 25-28 mph. I have 22 MPH now and I am getting a 500 amp controller today. Sig shows mods so far.
