Well I still haven't replaced my stock switch, but I would like to this summer for the campground. Just want to keep everyone honest. Anyone else have any great ideas? I am leaning towards the barrel style switch as of now...

LIKE THESE? Just get one with enough amperage rating to match what you have already. Not a bad idea, or you can relocate the tow switch, (Hide it) or even add another off the tow switch hidden even lockable but the easiest way is key-switch IMO!

I like the looks of that scooter, I wonder how many amps that one is?

Does the key stay in while it is on? Or does it pop out like on a tool cabinet lock?

Actually I'd have to look a little deeper at the Mouiser website and find one that will hold up, that one in particular has no information on it. You need to have it rated for DC at least 50/60 volts and not sure on the required amperage, need to look at what your cart has as a minimum.

Does anyone know the amperage that goes through the key switch? Based on the size of the wires, I'm guessing not much...
Also, can a 12v switch be used? I know the stock one gets 48v through it...

On the way home, if you can wait I'll see what I can find on this, it is a 48v ds correct?
