Default Stuck Armature

I have an 03 club car ds with the armature of an iq motor stuck to the input shaft of the axle. Does anyone have tips or tricks to removing it easily?

I believe it goes something like this (although , you wont like it )......remove rear wheels , remove rear end , remove right side brake drum and flip it around.....with the help of a friend ( this may require the purchase of beer) stand rear end up and pound rear end on the concrete till motor falls off ( drunk friend SHOULD catch it)........
