Default New member, need help identifying cart

Hello all,

Just joined the forum, and I have a newby question I could use help with. I'm currently dealing with a guy over the phone, looking at a beat up cart I want for a project. His ad says the cart won't run, and probably needs new batteries. I've attached the pics from the ad for reference.
Cart 1.jpg

Cart 2.jpg

Cart 3.jpg

I'm hoping someone might be able to identify the year of this cart from the pics. I want to do some research, since I really need to know what a new set of batteries will cost me, before I drive out to look at this thing and make an offer. The seller doesn't know much about it, other than it doesnt run. I plan on completely redoing the cart, so I'm not concerned about the rough shape of the body.

Sorry for the lack of info to work with, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I found a club car year guide, which leads me to believe this is a 1982-2000.5 Club Car DS. Can anyone tell from the pics any other details, without knowing the serial number?

Look under the right side glove box ,should be a sticker with all the numbers ,that will tell you the year. Get him to send a pic of the sticker.

Great, thanks guys!

Any tips on what to look for when I get there? Like I said, exterior doesn't matter, it's all getting redone. I'm more worried about batteries, motor, etc.

That was my next question. Is there any way to throw some juice at it with a car charger, just to see if the tires will turn?

I asked for a price over the phone, and the guy tossed out $750. I'm thinking if it needs batteries, $300ish seems a little closer?
