Need more speed
I have a 2003 CC 36V. I would like to get more speed out of it rather than origional speed. It's the type that doesn't have a speed controller. Is there something I can take out to put a controller in? Or something I can put in to make it a little faster? I've already put 4ga wires all around. I was told that would help but I didn't notice much. Don't need it to go super fast, just a bit faster than normal.

Re: Need more speed
Send your motor to Plum Quick (sponsor) and have them re-work it. Call them to discuss.

Re: Need more speed
I would buy a PQ bandit motor. It will work with stock components and get you 5-7 mph faster. If you don't mind a little less torque taller tires (not extreme) also help some. Example on a series cart lift kit and 23" tires with PQ motor got 21 mph with good wires. But it was dog slow to accelerate to that speed. A 500 amp solved that problem.
When the experts here say $$=speed & torque, they know what they are talking about from experience. They have helped us to get 22-24 mph from our cart. Have fun, be safe !! M |

Re: Need more speed
How old are the batteries? If the batteries are old you could get a conversion kit from Scottie B upgrade to 48 volts with the 36 volt motor and get 30% more speed and torque.
