Is good to see the manufactures are becoming better at designing efficient controllers. The problem with the pre-charge resistor is that since no capacitor is 100% efficient, there will always be a parasitic load on the batteries even if the tow/run switch is on tow.
It should be no problem for the controller to provide an alternate circuit to charge the capacitors from the logic power since it is such a low current.

I have the same controller and I called FSIP on this months ago during my install. Call and ask for Matt the service technician at fsip if you want.

Where do the wires from your B- on your controller get landed? I was disassembling some wires this morning and the labels got screwed up. :-(

you should have a neg - from the controller to the neg battery terminal. and one neg from the controller to the OBC. So you should have 2 negative wires on the controller neg post.
