The one I sent you a picture of was on an IQ car. That picture is a couple of years old now probably. I'm not sure what they're offering for Excel cars.

At Dave fsip only offers the GE controller or the Curtis controller for the excel system. I was saying it is the same controller you had but they formatted it to the excel system. And tkj1 send your controller back to fsip they will reprogram your controller. Ask for matt potter in the service department he is a great guy. Just explain to him that it's going into thermal shut down while going at low speeds, he will take care of it.

If you had a programmer yes, but you need the 400amp solenoid with 4 gauge cables or bigger, If you want the most torque. Before I would change the settings in the controller. Or you can upgrade to a high torque motor.

hey monster, what kind of speed do you get with the 22 in tires? mine does about 27-28 with 18 1/2 in. Lots of torque.

32mph or so it's faster than I want lol, but it does 30 loaded up
