New, old Club Car owner with ?s
Recently purchased a golf cart with a custom Dodge truck looking body on it called a RAMCOTA. I was told that it is built on a 1999 36V Club Car chassis. I verified that it does have 6, 6 Volt batteries under the seat. It doesn't seem to hold a charge very long, though, and it seems down on power even when fully charged. The guy I bought it from, though, did tell me that it's about time for new batteries. I don't golf but I wanted the cart to drive around in large campgrounds that we often stay at now that we're retired. I've asked around about the best batteries for it. Everybody seems to like the Trojan brand and recommend T-105s. I looked at some of the sites that carry them, though, and the T-145s appear to be a better battery for my application according to the specs. I want the cart to run as long as possible on a charge. Any advice? Also, does anyone know anything about these custom bodied Club Cars and where I might get parts for it, if needed?
